An OB/GYN, or Obstetrician-Gynecologist, is a doctor who specializes in female reproductive health, pregnancy and childbirth. However, the practice of OB/GYN isn’t limited to only these topics. OB/GYNs can also act a woman’s primary health provider, or PCP; screen for diseases such as breast and female reproductive cancers, diabetes and high blood pressure (also known as hypertension); and can help women who have trouble getting pregnant as well as those who are considered at high risk for health problems during and after pregnancy. OB/GYNs can also help women with urinary tract disorders. Some OB/GYNs work with children and adolescents, while others focus on adults and/or senior women.

Punam Chauhan, MD
Dr. Chauhan’s medical education began in India, where she completed her MBBS at SP Medical College in 1998 as the top student for three years. During the three years she was employed as a field worker helping to immunize children from polio and organize blood drives, Dr. Chauhan also completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at SN Medical College in Agra, India in 2004. Following residency, she moved to the United Kingdomand was employed by both Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Queen Mary Hospital as a Senior House Officer. She is registered with the United Kingdom’s General Medical Council.
After coming to the United States Dr. Chauhan completed another residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2010 at Flushing Hospital Medical Center, where she received an award in her second year as the best teaching resident. Following residency, she joined Blair Medical Center and then Hamilton Health Center in Pennsylvania as an OBGYN physician; and received Board Certification status. Languages Spoken: English, Hindi
Theodore Hale, MD
Dr. Theodore Hale graduated from University Tecnologica de Santiago Santiago Campus in 1986 and has been in practice for 30 years. He completed a residency at SUNY, State University at Buffalo in 1991 after a residency at Sisters Charity Hospital in 1989. Dr. Hale is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is affiliated with Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center and Nyack Hospital. He has received many honors and awards for his accomplishments over the years. He is a member of The American College of Surgery, the American College of OBGYN, the New York Medical Society, the American Medical Association, and the New York University Perinatal Society.
Debra Ann Kirschner-Lanzkowsky, MD
A native of New Jersey, Dr. Kirschner remained local to serve her community. She received her MD from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Yeshiva University in 1996; and completed her Residency at Montefiore Medical Center in 2000. After working in private practice, Dr. Kirschner joined a large community health center as the Director for their Women’s Health department, and received Board Certification from the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG). The following year, in 2003, she became a Fellow (FACOG) of this same prestigious organization. Dr. Kirschner has received awards for her dedication to her patients and the community. In 2006, Dr. Kirschner was named Physician of the Year by the American Cancer Society’s Rockland County chapter; and in 2008 received the Community Service Award from the A-Time Organization.
Daniel Laury, MD
Dr. Daniel Laury is a practicing Obstetrician/Gynecologist with special focus in infertility, sexual dysfunction and urology. He offers minimally invasive surgeries as well as hysterectomy, pelvic repairs, pelvic pain and pelvic mass surgeries. Dr. Laury graduated with his MD from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1988, after which, he completed his Internship and Residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania in 1992 and has since taken additional training in infertility at OHSU. Dr. Laury is licensed to practice medicine in 4 states: New York, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Oregon. He is board-certified by The American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. As an advocate for women’s health, he goes by the premise that the better informed a women is concerning her health options, the better decisions she will be able to make. With this in mind, Dr. Laury began a medical educational TV program on Community Access Television (RVTV) in Oregon called, “The Doctor is Listening”, a half hour program responding to questions that women emailed in. This show has won numerous awards including People’s Choice Award. In addition to giving numerous lectures as well as TV and radio appearances, Dr. Laury is also a nationally published author in various medical journals and has written a book on human sexuality called “SeniorSex”. He has been a principal investigator in over 40 research protocols and is an early adopter in HerOption Cryo-Ablation, a less invasive procedure that helps women who suffer from heavy menstrual bleeding and pain. For many years, Dr. Laury was on the advisory board for The Life Extension Foundation. He has been previously honored by winning Southern Oregon’s Most Friendliest Doctor by popular vote.
